About Us

IDESA is directed by a group of professionals with vast knowledge in the formulation and implementation of policies in social areas, with concrete experiences in key areas of public management at the national and provincial levels, and with a long history in the work of technical assistance to national and international organizations of the public and private sector.

Jorge Colina President

Master of Art in Economics (Georgetown University), Master in Finance (University of Amsterdam) and Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). Awarded with the Prize Fulvio Salvador Pagani 2004 of the Arcor Foundation for the best work in economics “The Argentine Health Failure. Diagnosis and proposal“. He works as an external consultant for private companies, business organizations, international organizations (IDB, ILO, UNESCO), and international non-governmental organizations in the field of human and sustainable development. Professor in the economics department of the Catholic University of Argentina and the Austral University of Argentina.

Virginia Giordano Research Coordinator

Master of Science in Economics (University of Amsterdam) with mention of Public Policies and Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). She worked as an analyst in the Undersecretariat of Microeconomic Programming of the Ministry of Finance of the Nation in 2016. She collaborated in research projects of the Universidad Católica Argentina during 2012. She worked on a research project for the research institute The Asan Institute for Policy Studies based in Seoul, Korea. She was assistant student in the dictation of classes of the subject Microeconomics II, in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

Leiza Natalia Camilo Caro Senior Economist

Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). Researcher in the areas of Innovation and Industrial Organization in the Department of Economics and Finance in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba. She works on research projects funded by the Secretariat of Science and Technology of the National University of Córdoba. Helped as a student assistant in the teaching of Mathematics II, Macroeconomics I and Statistics I subjects at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba. She was a fellow of the Cordoba Urban Observatory, for the construction of social indicators in 2016 and in the participation of the Amartya Sen program in the same year.

Pilar Paschini Semi-Senior Economist

Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). She collaborated in the midterm and final evaluation of investment projects funded by the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank in areas of local economic development, value chains and studies with a gender perspective. She was student assistant in the teaching of the subject Microeconomics II, at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

Patricio Canalis Semi-Senior Economist

Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). He worked on research projects funded by the Secretariat of Science and Technology of the National University of Córdoba, in the areas of Demography at the Institute of Statistics and Demography, and Macroeconomics at the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

Patricio Temperley Junior Economist

Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). Awarded by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic with the First Prize in the 12th Edition of the “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” Award for Economic Research. He worked as an Intern at the Finance Ministry of the Province of Cordoba and colaborated as student assistant in Macroeconomics II and Public Finance courses, in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

Agustín Carchano Junior Economist

Bachelor in Economics (National University of Córdoba). Achieved 1st place in the poster contest of the Argentine Statistics Colloquium. He collaborated in the research project “Description of a KM2 of the city of Córdoba” at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Córdoba. He also works as an intern in the Management Control area of Renault Argentina.
