Pensions are far from being able to be financed only with salary contributions. Because of the changes in tax allocation destined to ANSES (the social security agency), it is necessary to modify the pensions adjustment rule. The arbitrary managment of pensions maintains inequalities

Given the evidence of irregularities in the massive allocation of non-contributory pensions, the government started a revision process that generated much controversy. When a pension is granted to someone who is not disabled, they are automatically condemned to a chronic dependency of welfare, since they are not allowed to work in the formal labor market. Instead of interrupting the revision, it should be continued accompanied by effective employment policies.

Subsidies and new pensions explain 60% of increase in public spending

The extraordinary growth of public spending in recent years is the main cause of high inflation and exchange rate volatility. Curiously the areas which are the main contributors to the fiscal overflow and need more reforms are not directly affected by the cabinet change. Without a revision of public spending decisions, which are currently made with an important share of demagogy, improvisation and little responsibility, it will not be possible to stop the loss of reserves and stimulate the economic growth.
