The Institute for the Argentine Social Development is a center of studies, independent and nonprofit, specialized in the subject of the labor market; the educational and job training system; social security; the health system and social assistance. Investigations are focused on the public policies linked to the social development of the Argentine Republic and the rest of the Latin American countries.
IDESA is an area of analysis, discussion and production of ideas. Its goal is to generate proposals technically rigorous, implementable and with concrete influence on the public policies of the country and the region. Its guiding principles are interdisciplinary approaches and strongly propositional orientation. Although it is an institution with no party affiliation, IDESA allows maintaining the cohesion of a technical team with the capacity to alternate research with the public function.
The professionals that make up IDESA have, in most cases, a relevant trajectory in the formulation, implementation and management of reforms in different social areas of Argentina and Latin America. This experience enriches the theoretical analysis with the elements that make up reality, which act as determinants of the implementation of public policies.
